What’s new in Map (legacy) 1.2
Version 1.2 of the Legacy Map facet add-on was released on April 23, 2025.
It is recommended to update to version 1.2 if you are using FacetWP v4.4+ and want to keep using the Legacy Map facet. In FacetWP 4.4, the Map facet was moved into the FacetWP plugin. The Legacy Map Facet add-on will not be updated anymore after this version. You can keep using it for the foreseeable future. For more info and how to migrate, see the release notes.
This new version contains the following fixes and improvements:
- Preserved settings and backward compatibility when switching back and forth to the new Map facet, which is now built-in in the main FacetWP plugin. Some setting labels and tooltips were aligned with the new Map facet settings.
- The indexed latitude and longitude values are now checked for being valid float values and actually existing. Latitude values should range from
-90
to90
and longitude values from-180
to180
. If the indexer encounters invalid values they are now skipped so that they will not cause broken maps or map display errors. - The
.pot
language file was updated.
